Production Planning & Control Specialist (PPC), Aviation MRO

ST Engineering Aerospace Solutions is a leading provider of component Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services for the global aviation industry. Operating under EASA, UK CAA, FAA and CAAC Part-145 approvals, we deliver high-quality maintenance solutions to airlines, MRO providers and aviation customers worldwide.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a driven and organised Production Planning & Control Specialist (PPC) to join our team in Arlandastad.

This is a highly visible role at the centre of our operation, responsible for coordinating production activities, priorities, material readiness and delivery commitments to ensure customer requirements are met safely, efficiently and on time.

About the Role

As a member of the Production Planning & Control team, you will play a key role in transforming customer demand into executable production plans.

Acting as the link between Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Support and Sales, you will coordinate workloads, schedules, priorities and resources to ensure efficient execution of maintenance and repair activities.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate production plans, monitoring operational performance and proactively identifying risks that may impact delivery commitments. Your work will have a direct impact on turnaround times, customer satisfaction and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and optimise production schedules to support customer commitments and operational objectives.
  • Plan, release and monitor work orders throughout the maintenance and repair process.
  • Coordinate priorities across Production, Engineering, Customer Support and Supply Chain functions.
  • Monitor production progress and ensure work is executed according to agreed schedules.
  • Ensure material availability aligns with production requirements and delivery commitments.
  • Identify and proactively manage bottlenecks, material shortages and capacity constraints.
  • Support urgent customer requirements, including Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
  • Track and improve key performance indicators related to turnaround time, delivery performance and schedule adherence.
  • Maintain planning and scheduling data within SAP.
  • Provide production status updates, forecasts and delivery visibility to stakeholders.
  • Support customer quotation activities by providing planning, lead-time and capacity assessments.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and workflow optimisation.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards and applicable aviation regulations.

Qualifications

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • Experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Operations Planning or Supply Chain Planning.
  • Experience working within manufacturing, aviation, aerospace, defence or other technically complex environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to working with cross-functional teams.

Experience in the Following Areas Would Be Considered an Advantage:

  • Aviation component MRO.
  • EASA Part-145 organisations.
  • Capacity planning.
  • Material planning.
  • Workshop planning.
  • Turnaround time management.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
